"Figuration der Trauer

"There are a lot of A4 sheets of paper in my studio. Single words are written on them, sometimes sentences. Memories to myself, things that could be painted. The sheets of paper form groups around the canvases. The picture that arises on the canvas could be the visualisation of a non-linguistic relationship between the words. I bring these sheets of paper with me to the performance in the gallery. There they (and my body) meet Sarah's amazing costume. It is huge and consists of two layers. I imagine it to be heavy and warm. Sarah has painted her version of Pieter Bruegel the Elder's "Land of Cockaigne" on it. Body, costume and sheet of paper become the visualisation of a possible momentary image of the relationships between the Cabinet of Kaput contributions (perhaps!)."
